Hi There, I'm Alex and I'm a Melbourne based visual artist and life drawing teacher. For the past 10 years or so I have been doing set and costume design for theatre and working as an event stylist.By working in the event industry over the years, I would be involved in all sorts of crazy set ups. But my favourite was working with our costume department and would be creating the costumes, wigs and make up for the performers only for them to be seen for maybe 20 minutes and then never to be seen again! So much blood, sweat and tears for a little moment of time!It inspired me to create my own set of characters and put them in a life drawing setting, giving myself and others the chance to sit with them a while longer and enjoy the colourful world before us.I feel passionate about reconnecting to the sheer joy of drawing and quietening the inner critic. I am here to help you reconnect to your creative nature and just have some fun!
