Hi I’m Em Power Moore, an award winning art educator with 28 years experience teaching art and inspiring creative moments.
My name is both a name and a positive sentence starter and it’s true, I love empowering more art making and creativity. Just for the calm of it.
I studied Visual Arts Education at The University of Melbourne and I have a Masters in Arts Administration from RMIT.
I have spent 28 joyful years creating arts events and teaching art to primary and secondary students as well as other art teachers.
I live in Melbourne’s vibrant and multicultural inner west with my husband, teenagers and dog. I love swimming outdoors, yoga, exploring nature, roaming art galleries and wearing colourful fashion.
I make Art because it makes me feel great and helps me find calm. Art isn’t just about the end product, it’s also about the creative process. Creating art with your hands is a great stress release and helps you find more calm in your life. Having gone through burn out and many of life's challenges I have learnt a lot about what helps, and a big part of that is creativity, curiousity and connection.
I’d love to inspire you to use creativity as a positive in your life too!
My workshops are an inclusive safe, nurturing space for you to connect with your creative self.
