Looking for relaxing things to do in Glenwood? Learn how to weave a light hen basket using natural fibres at this hands-on workshop.
You'll learn how to process/prepare a variety of natural garden fibres for weaving then hands-on weaving of this beautiful, strong basket ('Ose') from piccabeen palm, lomandra, rattan, cordyline, lillies, philodendron, arrowroot and more.
Some may choose to make cordage from these fibres for additional effect. We also look at the uses of this vessel through the ages.
A light savoury and sweet luncheon will be offered with endless liquid refreshments and nibblies available.
