If you're looking for a therapeutic and fun way to get more creative and reconnect to your community whilst learning a new skill, our 6-week wheelwork course is a great opportunity to improve your skills, have fun, and be proud of your work.
Over 6 weeks, you’ll be guided by our experienced and creative teacher, giving you all the skills and techniques needed to become a capable thrower.
Don’t we all want that!
This course covers the foundations of wheel throwing, to surface decoration and glazing, and is suitable either for complete beginners or intermediate-level creatives.
The course is structured so that each week focuses on a new and advanced technique, but we also place a lot of emphasis on time for practise and experimenting.
You’ll get to learn the basics on how to centre, throw cylinders, make your ceramic homewares such as cups, mugs, bowls, and vases, and how to trim and shape your pots (extremely satisfying!!)
Not only will you learn the fundamentals to grow as a ceramic artist, you will also:
  • Have time carved out to PLAY, EXPLORE & establish a style that resonates with you and beautifully expresses the creativity that's within.
  • Gain a new creative community who you can grow with
  • Access to resources, tools, and guidance throughout your creative journey that will leave you feeling confident and capable to step into any studio as the ceramics artist and creative that you are.
At the end of this workshop, you’ll be able to take home a range of pieces that you’ll be proud of!
The workshops are small and intimate to maximise your experience.
What you will receive:
  • Clay to use throughout the course
  • Pottery tools to use during class
