Learn how to weave using a rigid heddle loom in this relaxing and crafty course on Queensland's Sunshine Coast.
In this course, which is perfect for beginners and runs across two five-hour days, you will learn how to thread your loom (warp) and weave a scarf, cushion cover or a runner.
Everything you need will be supplied including high-quality yarns and the looms, however, if you wish to carry on with your weaving journey at home you will need to buy a loom, which your teacher can help arrange or assist you to assemble.
NDIS support workers are welcome to come along for free. So just book for one person and we will all work together weaving on the one piece of work.
We do need at least a week's lead time, however, we can offer an early bird discount!
At the end of the class, you will leave with your own woven scarf, cushion cover or runner and all the skills to continue your weaving practice at home!

I can teach you how to weave a scarf or a shawl at my home overlooking the Mary Valley and national forest with spectacular views. I weave custom-made scarves that are completely unique, using the best quality yarn. No need to bring anything but yourself. You will leave with your finished product on the second day.
Children over eight are welcome to join my classes, the perfect age for them to begin their weaving journey.
I am extremely flexible with times and dates. Days do not need to be consecutive.
I am also a TESOL Teacher (teach English to speakers of other languages) and have my Bluecard.
