Do you love Italian flavours and would like to get a few simple, plant-based recipes under your belt? We are thrilled to bring this incredible plant-based Sicilian cooking masterclass in Brisbane to you!
In this class, Fiona will share her mum’s family recipes, handed down several generations. It’s an absolute privilege to bring these recipes to life with our plant-based spin. These recipes are very unique to the region of Sicily and meals you see at your local Italian restaurant.
What's on the menu?
  • Olive, rosemary and garlic focaccia
  • Caponata – a classic Sicilian dish made from capsicum, eggplant, onion and served with bread
  • Vegan calamari with garlic aioli
  • Rigatoni alla Norma (tomato sauce with crispy fried eggplant)
  • Lemon granita
  • Traditional almond biscotti
This class is ideal if you looking to add more plant-based meals to your table. And if you love Italian food, and aren’t plant-based, we promise you won’t even miss the meat in these full-bodied, packed with flavour recipes!
Wholesome Bellies’ classes are for all levels as all recipes are simple, using only a few key ingredients.
Classes are very personal and run by Fiona at Wholesome Bellies in Woolloongabba. We take things slow, we have an absolute ball and then sit down to a relaxed meal with like-minded people. You’ll leave the class with a full tummy and a full heart!

  • The class is 100% plant-based. Please advise if you require gluten-free options upon booking.
  • Tickets are not refundable, however, if you are unable to attend you can transfer the tickets.

Fiona is the Founder of Plant-based cooking school and restaurant, Wholesome Bellies. Her passion for healthy eating and cooking in contagious. A home cook since her teens, she grew up in the hospitality industry, spending most weekends at her family's restaurant. Her mum was the head chef and she was surrounded by incredible cooks.
