Relax and unwind at our mindful pottery class in Goodwood and make your very own speckled mug using hand-building clay.
Our Snowflakes clay is one of our favourites; it fires to a stone-look with black speckles. During this hands-on class, you'll make your mug using this beautiful clay as we walk you through the process.
Over this session, you'll also decorate and colour your own piece. We don't aim for perfection, although we promise you will surprise yourself and be extremely proud every time you look at what you've made.
At Urth Clay Studio, we provide an atmosphere full of empowerment and positivity. Not only will you be able to pick up your masterpiece a few weeks later, but you'll also gain the confidence and skills to continue creating at home!
Please note:
  • You can pick up your piece 1 to 2 weeks later fired, food-safe, and ready for you to use.
  • The ticket price is non-refundable. In case of any new COVID-19 restrictions affecting community centres, ticket fees can be used to book a different session.
  • Art in the picture may not belong to this class; it is only a reference for inspiration.

Join Urth Clay Studio in a community-based workshop to learn about the therapeutic effects of pottery.
Owner Zein Akkad moved to Australia from Syria in 2014 and not long after she discovered the practice of pottery and the therapeutic effects clay can have.
The process of pottery reinforced her empowerment and confidence and helped her restore her mental health through mindfulness.
