Transform your old t-shirts and fabrics into a work of art at this unique Brisbane workshop!

7 hours Class size 2 to 20 guests

$160 (Afterpay available)

Discover the exciting world of sculpture and assemblage in this unique and hands-on workshop in Brisbane. Learn how to transform old textiles into stunning sculptures that will add a touch of artistry to your home or garden.
In this class, you will learn the fundamentals of sculpture and assemblage, starting with building a basic form using simple materials. You will also have the opportunity to add your own design ideas, as we provide you with plenty of time and resource materials to encourage your creativity including optional plaster (male and female) busts in African, Japanese, and European styles. You can also choose to incorporate hands and a baby into your creation and really take your sculpting skills to a new level.
We will guide you through the process of using fabric hardener to shape and dress your sculpture, and teach you dry brushing techniques to add vibrant colours and finishes to your masterpiece. For a stunning faux bronze effect, we recommend working with a bronze base colour.
Not only will you create a beautiful sculpture to display proudly in your home or garden, but you will also develop new skills and discover the joy of recycling and upcycling materials. This class is suitable for beginners and those with some experience in art.
Don't miss the opportunity to share this class with your friends or organize a special event such as a hen's party, baby shower, or a corporate team building activity. It's a wonderful way to bond and create meaningful gifts together. It's a beautiful mother's day gift or an opportunity for a mother and daughter/son creative date.
At the end of this transformative workshop, you will take home your completed artwork as a keepsake or a gift for your loved ones. Imagine the joy it will bring and the interesting focal point it will add to your garden or courtyard.
Please note that this class is split into two sessions on Friday mornings, allowing for drying time and achieving a better painting finish. However, we understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, and we are happy to accommodate your needs by offering the option to enter a different class if necessary. We have alternative weekend one day dates in Bag End Studio's listings.
Join us in this sculpture and assemblage class in Brisbane, where creativity meets sustainability, and art takes on new life.
