Make a large sculpture feature piece. Wesley Taylor Art Studios proudly presents their feature sculpture piece hand building clay and sip class.
In this beginner-friendly workshop, you will create a large one-and-a-half-kilo clay piece, so you get the best result. You’ll learn basic skills like hatching, sticking together and shaping forms and sculpting using stoneware pottery clay.
You will follow along with an artist instructing a demo at the front and receive one-on-one guidance and assistance as needed, so you can make some great feature pieces to take home and display with pride! All the materials for your unique pottery piece will be supplied. At the end of the class, you will return home with your own self-made masterpiece. This venue is a studio in Brisbane City Myer centre with BYO drinks and food. Please note: Minimum numbers of five people all up required to run, free transfer of date if required. Most sessions run, just in case of low bookings. We have a variety of 12 female artists that run the majority of the sessions, so get a few more friends together and make it happen. Covid safe plan: Social spacing in place. Aprons will no longer be provided, however available for purchase in advance.

Yes we do small group private functions from 6 people, however during prime times we will have a minimum spend required, which can include platters

20 plus People $29 Per Person (No Maximum)
 
November and December (Thursday till Sunday) Minimum spend per booking applies of $580. Smaller groups can make up the difference with platter orders. We have 7 different type of platters suitable for 10 people at $145. Catering Available with platters from $14.50 per person for 10 people

I'm a Brisbane-based artist, and I've been painting and drawing since my early childhood days. I was fortunate to receive a scholarship from the Queensland Art Gallery, which gave me ample opportunity to pursue my passion and hone my skills.
I'm very much inspired by the beauty and diversity of Australia. Many of my paintings focus on landscapes, surreal, animals and people. North Queensland is a particular favourite, and you'll see the influence of coral seas and mountain landscapes throughout my artwork. I have a post-impressionist style through which I try to capture the wonder of the world around us.
I specialise in pastel on card, and acrylic on canvas, though I'm also experimenting with abstract and air brush.
I've been fortunate enough to display my work in many art exhibitions, and have been the recipient of many prizes and awards.
I offer Paint and Sip sessions along with Clay and Sip sessions, both at discounted rates for ClassBento Patrons. I believe in bringing these experiences to the customer at the very best competitive price possible, the real Australian Way. The Retail on these sessions is RRP is $45 however I offer Clay and sip at $29 per person, and Paint and Sip sessions from $29 per person Earlybird tickets when booked 3 dyas before. Our Friday and Saturday nights are also the most competitive prices found in Brisbane discounted down to $29 per person earlybird tickets. We offer the highest quality service with artist assistants to help customers with their paintings, along with the teachers. Our assistants will also run sessions so we will have two teachers for a single session. We have the largest range of paintings available with over 80 paintings on the gallery page of Wesley Taylor Art Studios, with the painting for each week can be found on the web page.
We have some new experiences coming available with Candle making and soap making. These will also be offered at the most competitive prices to bring them into reach for everyone. We hope you enjoy these sessions for a fun experience. The paintings are creative for maximum impact of colours, while keeping in mind for first time painting experience. Those with little more practice will create some amazing pieces
