Looking for a fun, hands-on activity for your child? The After-School Potter's Wheel Short Course is a 4-week immersion into the essential skills required to make simple pots on the potter's wheel – "throwing" designed for young people aged 10-17.
You will learn about preparing clay, centering, opening, and making cylinders, plates, and bowls of various sizes. You will also learn to throw bottles and make mugs with handles.

In the first lesson, students will learn how to throw clay on the wheel, with trimming skills introduced by the second class. Trimming is a super satisfying step that gives their creations a polished, professional feel. Plus, it’s a great way to ensure each piece is well-balanced before it becomes a long-lasting treasure.

Our teachers are passionate about ceramics and love helping kids discover the joy of working with clay. They’re here to support your child every step of the way, making sure they have a blast while learning new skills.
