Let your kids learn and experience Japanese food culture with the fine art of sushi making from sushi chef Keita. It's never too early to learn some serious cooking skills! Your kids will wrap up the class with the skills to continue making sushi at home.
This cooking class is suitable for ages 8-14 years of all skill levels. The class teaching is clear and thorough ensuring no one is left out and all can participate. Parents can drop off their children at the class.
Sushi kids class menu:
  • Chu-Maki roll (take-away style sushi/4 pieces)
  • Hosomaki roll (the small ones/6pieces)
  • Uramaki roll (the inside out ones/4 pieces)
  • Inari sushi(Tofu pocket sushi/2 pieces)
Sushi fillings:
Avocado, Cooked tuna, Carrot, Cucumber, Teriyaki chicken, Inari tofu pocket
Private class: We are happy to offer a private class where we come to your home to teach. Please note that in addition to the class fee, a travel fee (Ballina $50, Lismore $60) will be charged for private classes. If hiring a venue is necessary, it's also possible, so please inquire about it.

Please note: Public dates for this class require at least 4 guests to run. In the unlikely event that we don't reach this number, we'll cancel the class; in this case we'll inform you and allow you to get a refund or reschedule, so please watch your email/SMS one day prior to the class.

Keita Kujiura is over 15 years experience professional Japanese chef with passion for spreading charms of Japanese cuisine all over the world.
He started learning Japanese cuisine from 18 years old at a long-established restaurant in Japan.It was then when Keita found his passion for cooking and all things kitchen related.
Since 2015 Keita has moved the main base to Australia from Japan and started working as a sushi chef at popular sushi restaurant in Byronbay.
Nowadays, Keita is teaching his skill and knowledge about Japanese cuisine at cooking class and treating locals to dish by private chef.His aim is promoting Japanese food culture for locals.
