I was born in Israel, Kibbutz Mishear Ha’Emek 1951.
In the Kibbutz community, all the children in every age group lived, played and studied together and became like siblings to one another, just as my age group members are like siblings to me until this day.
Under the canopy of Kibbutz’s life, growing up – I had this inner premonition that one day, ceramics would become my life’s dwelling.
I have a very clear memory of how from a very young age, the sensation emanating from the touch and the holding of clay, left me infatuated, feeling fuzzy deep inside my heart.
Somehow, I noticed an interesting pattern: how from the age of 20 onwards – a new chapter would open up for me, completely new, every single decade. Each chapter is different from its predecessor:
AND SO….
3RD DECADE
got married and became a mum
4TH DECADE
Left the Kibbutz bubble and moved into city life and an office job
5TH DECADE
Have initiated my life as an artist and by doing so – fulfilled my childhood dream.
In this decade, I was also blessed with a deep and meaningful relationship with a wonderful man. Together, we would spend the next 30 years, embarking on adventures, hand in hand, through land and sea.
6TH DECADE
I find my say in art. Our house in Israel is tailor-built by my partner and me just the way we dreamt it.
A house filled with light, love and our artistic and artisan creations – from the staircase to the sculptures climbing a rope on the walls.
7TH DECADE
My heart allows me a second shot at life. Now I have some spare parts.
… On the verge of entering my 8th decade – I am now going to embark on yet another
adventure and so I find myself in Australia, where my children and grandchildren live. I
have a shiny new studio in Morley WA and am excited and curious to see what the
future has in store for me.
