Sound and Music Recording Workshop

Learn how to record your own music at home!

6.5 hours Class size 1 to 2 guests

$200 (Afterpay available)

Are you looking to try something new and exciting? Have you always had an interest in music and sound production?
Home recording studios are within the reach of anyone with a passion for music. Many people have their own studios (Garageband comes with every Mac), but are often confused by the technology and are not sure where to start. If this sounds familiar, then this workshop is for you!
This one-day sound recording and mixing class will introduce you to the world of home-based music production. The workshop is very hands-on and practical, using great equipment in a home studio environment.
You will learn:
  • What equipment you will need to set up a home recording studio.
  • How to use a digital audio workstation to record and mix music.
  • How to record voice, electric guitar, and acoustic guitar (and other instruments if required).
  • How to use MIDI to get an unlimited number of sounds for your songs.
  • How to edit musical performances.
  • How to mix your music ready for release.
The workshop takes place in a beautiful home recording studio in the Blue Mountains (in winter we have the fireplace burning too).
Your teacher has been working in sound engineering for over 30 years and has already mentored thousands of students - many of whom have gone on to successful careers in the recording and music production industries.
