In this exciting shell sandcasting workshop in Soldiers Point, you will learn how to make a shell pendant using a natural shell in Sterling Silver.
This class is designed for beginners, and Lauren will walk you step by step through the process. This workshop is limited to 1-2 people to ensure you get the most out of your time.
There is a range of shells to choose from in the studio, or you may bring your own (no bigger than a 5c piece).
During the workshop, you'll learn how to pack the sand mould, imprint your shell and pour molten silver into your prepared mould (this can sometimes take a few tries). We will then remove the excess silver, attach a jumping and polish your new personally made shell pendant for you to wear out of the studio that same day.
This hands-on activity will ignite your imagination and leave you with a sense of accomplishment.
Please allow a bit of extra time in case the workshop runs over.
