Using dark stoneware clay, you'll be guided in assembling your piece from a starting slab and have the opportunity to customise the design to your liking.
Place a tea-light candle inside your finished piece and watch the flicker through the windows, use it as an incense cone or the open chimney can also serve as a small bud vase! Whatever you prefer, it will make a charming addition to your home or a thoughtful housewarming gift for someone special.
Note:
  • Your completed piece will be glazed and fired, with the cost included in your ticket. Please keep in mind that while we take great care in finishing your handmade items, occasional breakage in the kiln can occur as a natural part of the ceramic craft process.
  • Your masterpiece will be ready for pick-up approximately 5-6 weeks after the workshop. We’ll be in touch when they’re ready for collection. Remember, we can hold works for up to 4 weeks from the workshop date, after which any unclaimed pieces will unfortunately be discarded.

With over 30 years of pottery experience, a formal education in Art & Design, and a major in Studio Ceramics, I’ve traversed many creative paths, but clay has always been my true passion. My journey has included hunting, digging, studying, and mastering new skills, with pottery teaching me the virtues of patience and the beauty of imperfection.
From my studio in Fremantle, Western Australia, I create unique pieces that embody emotional authenticity, prioritizing essential beauty over conventional perfection. I am deeply passionate about sharing my love of making through teaching. I aim to provide an authentic experience where students feel comfortable exploring their own creativity. My workshops and private classes cater to all skill levels, inviting you to discover and express yourself in the captivating world of pottery.
