Pottery Class: Whimsical Forest Vessel

Escape the grind and make something truly magical in Canberra!

4 hours Class size 1 to 30 guests

$299 (Afterpay available)

Come join us at Deep Blue Ceramics Studio to create your whimsical forest cottage. This is a fun hands-on class where you will learn the basics of creating with clay and have fun getting your hands dirty.
Using slabs of clay rolled in-house with our slab roller, we'll make a wood-textured piece decorated with moss, mushrooms and fungi and even a frog if you wish!
You will be expertly guided through applying texture and developing your skills in using silicone molds to make mushrooms and how to attach everything securely. We'll also use special ceramic paints to bring your vessel to life.
We glaze with a clear glaze all over so the item will last in the garden as a planter or if you wish you can use it indoors.
This session is taught by expert craftswoman Carol Mead who has a wealth of experience and specializes in whimsical, textured pieces. She'll be able to expertly guide you through the process so you'll walk away with a unique, textured piece that can be displayed in your garden as a planter or indoors as a decorative item.
