Looking to discover the art of pottery? Join our wheel throwing class in Gold Coast at Firebird Studios in Burleigh Heads. Over the course of 10 weeks, you'll master the potter's wheel and create beautiful ceramics that you can proudly display at home or gift to loved ones.
Whether you're a total beginner or have dabbled in pottery before, this comprehensive workshop is designed to accelerate and refine your wheel throwing skills. We meet you at your level and challenge you to learn and improve your motor skills, clay knowledge, process knowledge, and finishing skills every week.
Our hands-on approach to learning pottery is akin to an apprentice's journey. We'll take you back to the basics and help you develop new habits that will enhance your skill level. Even seasoned throwers can improve their abilities through this course. If you're a novice, rest assured that we'll equip you with skills you can treasure for a lifetime.

Please note:
  • Wheel throwing is a master craft that takes years of practice to master, so while you'll gain skills in this course, continuous practice is necessary for their development.
  • During your course, you can attend the open studio sessions as often as you like to practice and glaze your work (additional clay and firing fees apply for works outside of the course curriculum).
  • The course fee covers all necessary materials, such as clay, glaze, firing, and basic tools required for your creations.
