Hi I am June
I first discovered my passion for art through watercolor painting. The fluidity and subtlety of the medium captured my imagination, but it was when I stumbled upon mixed media art that I truly found my creative home. The ability to combine different materials and techniques allowed me to explore endless possibilities, and I quickly fell in love with the freedom it offered.
Teaching is a natural extension of my love for art. I find immense joy in sharing my knowledge and seeing others discover their own artistic voices. It's incredibly rewarding to help others unlock their creativity and witness their growth.
An interesting aspect of my journey is my background in childcare. I’ve always enjoyed creating activities and exploring new learning experiences with children. This passion led me to complete a Certificate III in Visual Art last year, where I experimented with various media and tools. This blend of art and education enriches my teaching and allows me to bring a unique perspective to the classroom.
One thing many people might not realize about my craft is how integral my experience with children has been in shaping my approach to art. It’s given me a deeper understanding of creativity and exploration, which I carry into my mixed media work and teaching.
