This one-off Adelaide Fringe event on Friday, 14th of March, from 6:30 to 9:00 pm invites you to immerse yourself in the magic of the Outback!
Led by professional artist Lorna, this fun and inspiring session is perfect for beginners and experienced painters alike. You will learn playful painting techniques, explore vibrant colours, and bring your quirky Outback masterpiece to life.
Whether painting solo, with friends, or as part of a group, this workshop promises creativity, laughter, and a unique way to connect with the magic of the Fringe.
This special event is part of the Adelaide Fringe Festival and will take place at the Cowandilla Community Room.

A Little About Me: Hi, I’m Lorna, and I’ve been a commercial designer and art director for over 18 years. With a Bachelor’s in Graphic Arts and Interactive Design, my career took off after winning the D&AD Award, launching me into different niches of the creative industry. I’ve worked across various creative fields and, often called a "Swiss Army Knife of creativity", I’ve mastered everything from commercial design, digital art and illustration to UX/UI and web design. But as much as I love design and digital art, nothing beats the feel of a brush in hand, painting vibrant, tactile art on canvas. Hosting paint and sip sessions is my passion—it’s all about having fun, letting go, and discovering your inner artist. My classes are relaxed, playful, and perfect for beginners and seasoned artists alike.
What’s Special About My Classes? At "Let There Be Art, " you’ll be guided by me, your quirky artistic guide—I love nothing more than helping people surprise themselves with what they can create. My classes are colourful, playful, and full of vibrant, creative energy. You’ll receive a palette of vibrant acrylic colours, expertly mixed by me, Lorna, ready for you to dive into and start creating. The subjects are fun and unique, and everything is taught in a totally beginner-friendly way. You’ll work with rich blush pinks, misty blues, and sun-kissed yellows, bringing your canvas to life in ways that surprise even you. And the best part? You’ll be sipping on your favourite drink while creating something amazing with your friends or loved ones. It’s not just about the painting—it’s about creating a fun, memorable experience that stays with you long after the paint has dried. We mix vibrant creativity with a chill, laid-back vibe—perfect for unwinding and making lasting memories.
