Get creative at this fun Brisbane mosaic class and make a one-of-a-kind mask decoration, led by renowned mixed media artist Claudia Williams.
In this full-day workshop, you will be guided through the creative process of re-imagining ‘waste’ into beautiful pieces of sculptural art that you’ll get to display in your own outdoor garden spaces.
This workshop is a basic insight into the ancient art form of mosaic using contemporary methods by incorporating the use of recycled materials and brightly coloured ceramic tiles.
You will construct a sculptural mask out of recycled kitchen wares eg. cake tins, jugs, saucepans cups and saucers, teapots and more, which you will then cover with the art form of mosaics.
Please note:
Grouting the masks will not be possible at the workshop. You will be able to collect your grouted mask the following week from Claudia's studio in New Farm, Brisbane.
