If you love mixed media, steampunk designs or rusty colours then you'll love this hands-on mixed media art class with Bag End Studio!
A perfect workshop for beginners or beyond, during this class you will be guided step by step through the process, explore a diverse range of techniques to create "rust effects" with Powertex, and experiment with the versatility of these art mediums.
In this workshop you will learn:
  • How to cut and carve Art Foam Discs (50cm) to create your own unique designs.
  • How to use powertex as a fabric hardener, paint and glue, and experiment on a diverse range of materials, including wood, metal, cardboard, and paper.
  • How to mix Powertex with Stone Art to create texture and air dried clay.
  • The art of layers and the difference it makes to your finished artwork.
  • How to create a rustic chain that looks like real metal.
  • How to use colour pigments to create a crackled clay effect and faux rust effects with a professional finish.
You will be AMAZED by what you can create in just one day!

Knowledge required
Absolute beginners warmly welcomed.

  • You can take home your completed artwork and if you wish to use it as garden art it can be spray varnished three weeks after the class.

  • Aprons and Gloves are provided (but you are welcome to bring your own if you have special preferences or allergies)
  • Come with a sense of adventure and any found objects or memorabilia or nature items that you might like to embed into your artwork (we can always try).
Suitable for

This class is great for individuals and couples as well as for a date idea or hens party.

Suitable for adults, and kids (minimum 15 years old).

Adult accompaniment is not required.

This experience would also be a cool gift for her, gift for mum or gift for couples.
