Miriam Young is the only fully qualified perfumer in Australia offering 100% natural perfumery workshops.

She began her journey as an Aromatherapist in 1995 and then went onto become a Medical Herbalist, Counsellor and Healer. Miriam is the internationally bestselling author of Detox for Living, Natural Cleanses for Modern Disease. Her career as a Medical Herbalist has spanned nearly three decades.

Miriam has launched three perfumes with her brand, Theoria Gold. Miriam’s premier perfume Rose Aimée contains 674 real roses and took 10 years to complete, as she wanted to master the real true aroma of when you press your nose into a red velvety rose and inhale deeply. Rose Aimée was followed shortly by Nuits d'Australie, (Nights of Australia) which celebrates night flowering jasmine, Australian woods and real plantation pineapple. Theoria is Theoria Gold's unisex perfume and sends men into raptures with its distilled lime, Haiti vetiver and divine tobacco, black tea and bergamot.

Miriam has always had a deep love of fragrance and remembers well the aroma of her mother’s clothes in the early 70’s – the boldness of the controversial Opium and the feminine scent of Anais Anais.

Miriam’s absolute passion is sharing the joy of fragrance with the Ultimate Fragrance Experience – the workshops she runs in Brisbane. Miriam also creates bespoke fragrances for individuals and businesses.
