Looking for a unique and creative activity? Join our jewellery making class in Brisbane and learn the technique of saw piercing in a relaxed and friendly workshop. In this hands-on workshop, you'll discover how to design and use a jeweller's saw to cut out your own earrings to take home on the day.
Don't worry if you're a beginner, this workshop is suitable for all skill levels. We'll start with a grounding session to make you feel comfortable and welcome in the space. Our experienced instructor will guide you through the process, demonstrating how to prepare the metal for saw piercing and teaching you various saw-piercing techniques.
You'll have the opportunity to choose from a selection of templates or feel free to bring your own design ideas. We provide all the necessary materials, including copper, brass, or aluminium for your earrings. If you prefer silver, it will be available at a small additional cost on the day.
During the workshop, you'll have access to workshop tools and will learn the art of shaping, filing, and polishing your metal jewellery for a professional finish. You'll also receive your own personal bench peg and saw to use during the class.
Enjoy tea, coffee, mineral water and snacks provided during the workshop.
At the end of the workshop, you'll take home your handcrafted earrings in a beautiful gift bag. Don't worry if you're not interested in earrings, as you can also create other metal jewellery or art using the same techniques.

NO PREPARATION: Turn up, and there will be templates and inspiration ideas available that can be used for your design, for example, trees, leaves, and animal shapes.
OR OWN DESIGN:
You can also make your own design; best to go with silhouettes of items that interest you.
Ideas can be emailed to us, we will make sure that it is doable during the workshop time, We can print them out in varying sizes if required.

Suitable for adults, and kids (minimum 10 years old).

An adult must accompany any attending kids. The adult may observe at the class for free.
