In this fascinating workshop on medicinal herbs, you will learn how to treat simple health complaints with herbs from your garden.
The workshop will include:
  • Specific medicinal uses of common garden herbs you can easily grow.
  • Key properties of medicinal herbs and why they work on our bodies.
  • How to prepare and use medicinal herbs.
  • Identification of several medicinal herbs of benefit.
  • How to inexpensively increase your stock of medicinal herbs.
  • Growing medicinal herbs in the garden or in pots.
During the workshop, we will brew and taste a medicinal tea and decoction and make a herbal vinegar tincture. We will also go on a tour of the garden to identify, pick and investigate many of the herbs discussed.
This workshop is designed to be a gentle introduction for all levels of experience.
Guidance will be given by a qualified naturopath, permaculture gardener and health writer with personal experience using medicinal herbs. Linda deWilde-Moon, your workshop host, is the author and editor of The Healing Garden, a bookazine by the Universal Media Co (UMCO).
