Using dark stoneware clay, you'll start with a slab and assemble your piece step by step. I'll guide you through customising the design to make it uniquely yours.
At a finished size of approximately 9x7cm, these charming pieces will add a delightful touch to your holiday decor or make a wonderful Christmas gift. Place a tea light candle (LED or real) underneath and enjoy the flickering light through the tiny openings—a seasonal delight!
Important details:
I will glaze and fire your piece, with the cost included in your ticket. I take great care in finishing your handmade items, but please note that clay can be unpredictable, and occasionally items may break in the kiln. This is a natural part of the ceramic craft.
Your work will be ready for pick-up approximately 5-6 weeks after the class. I will contact you when they are ready. Please note that I can hold works for up to 4 weeks from the date of your workshop. After this period, any unclaimed pieces will unfortunately be discarded.

With over 30 years of pottery experience, a formal education in Art & Design, and a major in Studio Ceramics, I’ve traversed many creative paths, but clay has always been my true passion. My journey has included hunting, digging, studying, and mastering new skills, with pottery teaching me the virtues of patience and the beauty of imperfection.
From my studio in Fremantle, Western Australia, I create unique pieces that embody emotional authenticity, prioritizing essential beauty over conventional perfection. I am deeply passionate about sharing my love of making through teaching. I aim to provide an authentic experience where students feel comfortable exploring their own creativity. My workshops and private classes cater to all skill levels, inviting you to discover and express yourself in the captivating world of pottery.
