What you'll do

In this workshop, you will learn how to create your own beautiful watercolour floral painting. Guided through from colour mixing to composition, you'll explore the intricate details and vibrant hues of flowers. By following gentle brushstrokes and vivid colours, you'll capture the delicate essence of blooms on paper.

This class is perfect for beginners. With step-by-step guidance, you will learn the timing of drop-in colours, the portion of added water, and other techniques to bring your floral masterpiece to life.

Throughout the workshop, you can simply relax and unleash your inner artist as you immerse yourself in the fluidity and translucency of the medium. The process may be calming and therapeutic, allowing you to connect with your creativity in a supportive environment.

By the end of the class, you will have completed a stunning floral painting to display proudly in your home.

I am a member tutor of Watercolour Society of QLD. Over many years, I have refined my skills and cultivated my distinctive style. I have won local and national art awards in Australia. Since 2019, I have been honoured to be chosen by the Australian Watercolour Muster for four years consecutively as one of thirty artists whose works get showcased in Italy for the world to see.

My watercolour paintings celebrate the timeless beauty of flowers by capturing their delicate essence with gentle brushstrokes and vivid hues. Through translucent layers and fluidity, I replicate the softness of petals, intricate details, and subtle gradations of colour that define each bloom.

The unpredictability of watercolours make them fascinating to work with. I love to watch colours blend into each other; the wonderful "accidents" that happen with the flow of colours cannot be achieved by any other medium that I know of. Painting is my form of freedom and expression -- at this point, I feel almost addicted to it. I want to share with you my passion and techniques.
