Looking for unique things to do in Brisbane? Join the 18 Square Shed in this fun leather bag making workshop!
In this class, you will learn how to craft a cute and practical bag. No prior experience is necessary, so don't worry if you've never worked with leather before! This class is kept small so everyone gets plenty of time and attention, which means it's perfect for beginners.
Throughout the workshop, your teacher, Emma, will guide you step-by-step on how to create your own unique bag. You'll learn essential leatherworking techniques, such as cutting, stitching and finishing.
By the end of the class, you'll walk away with a beautiful handmade bag that you can proudly use or give as a thoughtful gift to your loved ones.
Note: This class is a full day, 6-7 hours. We will have a short break around lunchtime, so please bring some lunch. The workshop is also fully air-conditioned.

Hi, I am Emma, a leatherworker with many years of experience of crafting. I was taught by my beautiful mother at an early age how to sew and knit, the passion for handcrafts she sparked in me has continued to this day.
Leather is such an interesting material to work with, possibilities are almost endless as to what you can create, and I am always finding new avenues to explore.
I love teaching people how to create their very own leather items. I get such enjoyment seeing someone learn a new skill, and walk away from my workshops with not only a completed product but also with the confidence and knowledge to explore this craft on their own.
