Your teacher
Rosemary and Time is a new social maker space which opened in April 2024. Here in Oxley, I aim to encourage a community of makers, doers, creators, inspirers and imaginers.I love to teach and do sewing and dabble in lots of different crafts. My mum says creativity is my superpower. I enjoy the challenges, navigating the process and seeing the results. It is an exciting journey to try something new. I hope you enjoy it too.I am a qualified VET teacher and have a certificate in Japanese tea ceremony. My sewing and crafting started early (on the knees of my grandmothers) and have been self-taught, gathering experience and joy from it since childhood. I have been teaching adults and children for at least 35 years. For the last few years, I’ve worked with some amazing refugee women, teaching them sewing skills. It has been one of the most rewarding experiences for me and so valued by the women. That and my passion for eating has led to the current combination of offering a cafe and workshop in one!
