Let your kids learn and experience Japanese food culture and the fine art of sushi making from sushi chef Keita. It's never too early to learn some serious cooking skills. After learning your kids can make their very own delicious sushi at home.
The classes are suitable for ages 8-14 years of all skill levels. The class teaching is clear and thorough ensuring no one is left out and all can participate. Parents can drop off their children at the class.
What's on the menu?
  • Chu-Maki roll (take-away style sushi/four pieces)
  • Hosomaki roll (the small ones/six pieces)
  • Uramaki roll (the inside-out ones/four pieces)
  • Inari sushi (tofu pocket sushi/two pieces)
These delicious creations will feature a range of fillings such as avocado, cooked tuna, carrot, cucumber, teriyaki chicken, and inari tofu pocket.
After this hands-on experience, your little ones will not only have learned the art of sushi making but will also have the skills to recreate these delicious dishes at home. Watch as their confidence in the kitchen soars and their love for cooking grows.
Private class information: We are happy to offer a private class where we come to your home to teach. Please note that in addition to the class fee, a travel fee (Gold Coast $50, Brisbane $60) will be charged for private classes. If hiring a venue is necessary, it's also possible, so please inquire about it.

Keita Kujiura is over 15 years experience professional Japanese chef with passion for spreading charms of Japanese cuisine all over the world.
He started learning Japanese cuisine from 18 years old at a long-established restaurant in Japan.It was then when Keita found his passion for cooking and all things kitchen related.
Since 2015 Keita has moved the main base to Australia from Japan and started working as a sushi chef at popular sushi restaurant in Byronbay.
Nowadays, Keita is teaching his skill and knowledge about Japanese cuisine at cooking class and treating locals to dish by private chef.His aim is promoting Japanese food culture for locals.
