Kick and Screen was founded in Melbourne by Eleanor Laud in 2009, and a tree change in 2017 saw them to relocate to Hobart.
Kick and Screen is a boutique screen printing studio - and by boutique, Eleanor means small - which is just how she likes it. Staying small means less time doing accounts, and more time for the things she loves – mainly spending time with nephews, nieces and printing.
Eleanor studied printmaking under master printmakers in Perth and Sydney at a tertiary level, followed by mentoring in the trade by industry leaders. She now teaches screenprinting to small and large groups, from the basics through to multi-coloured registration, including for RMIT, at secondary institutions and at design agencies around Australia.
She prints everything by hand, with love and attention to detail for delightful clients such as the City of Melbourne, frankie magazine, Open House Hobart and Permaset.
