I’m Zhao (pronounced like “jow”). I am a part-time speech pathologist and part-time left-handed calligrapher specialising in brush lettering and Copperplate calligraphy. I live in Brisbane with my husband and 2 cats. I love coffee, chocolate and, of course, calligraphy! My love for all things paper and ink stems from childhood hours spent creating projects for my family and friends. In 2018, wanting my wedding to be truly unique, I learnt calligraphy so that I could create custom details for my wedding, which I still keep and cherish today. Being a speech pathologist for many years, I love teaching others and have worked with people of all ages! I decided to combine my experience in teaching with my passion for calligraphy to share the magic and joy of paper and ink, so that you, too, can connect with the creativity, mindfulness and beauty of calligraphy.
