What you'll do
Add a very special touch of magic to your Christmas tree or as a gift for someone else by making kiln-formed glass Christmas decorations in Kambah!During this hands-on class, you will learn how to cut glass and assemble each decoration ready for firing in the kiln. Gain knowledge of the most beautiful material to make art and craft with----glass! Your teacher has many years of experience and knowledge of working with glass and kilns and has also completed a Visual Arts degree so she can guide you in making your ideas come to life.Make up to six glass Christmas decorations to display proudly in your home during the holiday season!Please note: These pieces will be fired in a kiln overnight and will be available for collection (or postage by prior arrangement) late the following day.

Knowledge required
Beginner-friendly. You don’t need to have any prior experience with cutting glass, this is a skill that you will learn.
What you'll get
- Up to six Christmas decorations (or one or two more depending on timing and your design choices). These will be made in glass pieces and some pre cut blanks with an approximate value of $55.
- As this is a full-day experience, morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea will be provided.
What to bring
- Please wear closed-in shoes, old clothing, an apron and safety glasses. We can supply both an apron and safety glasses if needed.
- Full joining instructions will be sent to you when you book or if you would like to make an enquiry we will email them to you.

Your teacher
My artistic practice is focused on creating works in glass that are cut by hand and then fused and shaped using kilns and cold working methods. My love affair with glass began many years ago, making works in recreational classes. In 2016 I enrolled in a Visual Arts degree at the ANU majoring in glass which I completed in 2019. I enjoy making whimsical and playful pieces. However, I gain enormous satisfaction from teaching others about the mysteries of glass and how create either fun pieces or utilitarian pieces. For people who have a specific project in mind I am happy to tailor classes to suit. A great way for you to start is to enrol in a one day class that is conducted in my studio. Class sizes are restricted to no more than four people.
