Monday 7th October is the half day - finishing day 10-1
Important Notes
this is a TWO day course. As long as you can attend the first day, the finishing days can be negotiated if you cannot attend the suggested second day. Feel free to message for clarification. NDIS and support workers warmly welcomed. These Weekend Classes are normally All day Saturday 10.30am til 5pm and at least a half day on the Sunday of the same weekend to finish.
The Class
Learn to form build and design your sculpture in the morning and then 'dress' your art piece using textiles and fabric hardener in the afternoon.
On the Sunday (finishing day) now your sculpture has dried overnight, we will embellish using colour pigment blending and dry-brushing techniques and potentially add your own 'special pieces', found objects, jewellery, or memorabilia
Absolute beginners are welcome! At the end of the class, return home with a fabulous upcycled sculpture to amaze friends and family.

Knowledge required
Beginners welcome - as we take the course over the second day we have plenty of time to nurture your own creativity.
 
What you'll get
  • Finished standing statues - in your own choice of colours and tweaks in designs.
  • All tuition, materials, equipment, gloves and apron provided.
  • Tea and coffee and light refreshments.
  • Accessibility - flat entry to doorway. The onsite toilet has three small steps.
What to bring
  • BYO lunch and special requirements (including favourite apron or gloves if necessary).
  • Snack vending machine on site.

After the first session, the next session is: Next consecutive day - Sunday 1pm-4pm or Friday Sessions would be two fridays in a row starting at 1

Natalie is passionate about sharing a creative journey through the versatility of Powertex and teaches a range of mixed media workshops from fabric sculptures, self-hardening clay projects and painting.
She is a Powertex Distributor and a certified trainer for the East Coast of Australia in all levels of Powertex. Natalie is also on the Powertex Australian Design Team creating instructional blogs and a founding member of Down the Rabbit Hole Artist Co-op (BVAC member).
