Looking to learn a new creative hobby? Join our painting course in Adelaide and discover the joys of creating realistic portraits.
In this series, you'll delve into the fundamentals of drawing and portraiture, starting with the first module where you'll learn how to map out a portrait and identify the darkest and lightest areas. Plus, we'll teach you a sequential method for drawing that can be applied to any subject - not just portraits.
Throughout the course, you'll also learn valuable techniques such as measuring and sighting to understand proportions, using "squinting" to grasp value relationships, and capturing facial features with precision.
We'll cover everything from the structure of a face to the techniques for mastering expressive portraiture drawings. No experience required!
In the second class, we'll switch gears and explore painting in mixed media. You'll have the opportunity to bring your own reference photo for the painting portion of the class. By the end of the course, you'll take home your very own portrait and feel confident in your newfound artistic abilities.
