As an emerging Australian visual artist and art educator, I bring a fresh and dynamic approach to the world of art. My passion for portrait painting and a broad spectrum of artistic techniques, from acrylic pours to printmaking, fuels my creative journey. My academic foundation, with a Bachelor of Visual Art with First Class Honours from the Australian National University, has equipped me with a strong technical background and a deep understanding of artistic principles.
I thrive on creating art that connects emotionally with viewers, using vibrant colors and dynamic movements to tell compelling stories. My versatility spans various mediums, including oil, watercolor, acrylic, and printmaking, each piece reflecting a unique aspect of my creative exploration.
Recognition as a two-time finalist in the Shirl National Youth Portrait Prize and the ANU Drawing Prize, along with receiving the EASS Legislative Assembly Prize, has been pivotal in my artistic career. Notable commissions, such as "Hearts that Hold You" for Run DIPG and "Mother and Child" for Marian Catholic College, demonstrate my ability to create meaningful, impactful work. My exhibitions, "For Laos" and "Veiled, " further showcase my evolving style and the depth of my artistic vision.
Beyond my personal art practice, I am deeply committed to community engagement. I have contributed to set design and painting, led charity fundraising projects, and delivered community mural projects and art workshops. These experiences underscore my dedication to fostering artistic expression within the community.
I believe that art education is not just about teaching techniques but also about inspiring and nurturing creativity. I am eager to bring my passion, experience, and innovative approach to your institution, where I can help students discover their artistic voice and connect with art on a profound level.
