What you'll do

Discover the joy of decorating and creating in a fun and creative workshop at Albany Creek Library. In this workshop, you will learn how to use a variety of decorative items such as decoupage, pom-poms, polymer clay, paint pens, and more to customise a piece of decor that resonates with your unique style and personality.

Don't worry if you're new to crafting - this workshop is perfect for beginners and experienced creators alike. Our relaxed and supportive atmosphere will help you feel at ease as you unleash your creativity.

During the workshop, you'll have the chance to explore different materials and techniques, allowing you to experiment and express yourself freely. Whether you prefer a kitsch or classy aesthetic, there's something for everyone to enjoy.

This hands-on workshop is perfect for all levels of creativity. You will have access to a range of materials to decorate a small vase or pot that you can enjoy.

The only skill you need is your own imagination. - We do use hot glue guns and quick-drying glue in this workshop so it is designed for adults.

What you'll get

I provide all materials and instruction. You will come away with 1-2 small special pieces of decor, and you will have the opportunity to add additional items to decorate on the day if you wish.

You will have access to polymer clay, pre-made decorations, paint, pom poms, pipe cleaners, gems, and a number of other creative fixings.

What to bring

A water bottle. I provide tea and coffee as well as cool drinks. We do not recommend snacks at this workshop because we use paint and glue. You may BYO bottle of wine or beer to be consumed during the workshop (responsibly) and there are many great local places to eat before or after the workshop.

Suitable for

This class is great for individuals and couples as well as for a date idea or hens party.

My name is Kirsten. I live in Brisbane, Australia with my husband, daughter and Peanut, our sausage dog.

I created Crafternoons with Kirst to give people in my community a chance to create in a non-judgmental, fun space while connecting with their inner artist through play and collaborating with friends.

I have a background in Project Management and Communication and use these skills to host fun and engaging workshops but I also LOVE creating and want to pass this passion on.
