DIY Kokedama Workshop

A class set in a beautiful Blue Mountains Garden

1.5 hours Class size 10 to 40 guests     $65

Learn how to make Kokedamas in a gorgeous Blue Mountains Garden. There is plenty of room in undercover areas to make our kokedamas so even if it rains we shall be fine!
Originating in Japan, Kokedamas are those wonderful, hanging string and moss gardens that you can make easily, once you know-how! You will come away with 2 stunning Kokedamas.
You will definitely get your hands dirty and learn all about the sorts of plants that are suitable to 'kokedama' and how to create the appropriate soil mix. String up some sturdy succulents and take them home.
Kokedamas are perfect for small garden spaces and apartments and are very portable (no heavy pots!)
And they make superb gifts that will delight everyone.
Please bring warm clothing as the mountain weather is very unpredictable and it can suddenly become very cold. We will be working outside.
There will be tea coffee and hot chocolate to keep us toasty!
Please note: Kids over eight years old are very welcome but they will need to have an adult with them. Pamela has a working with children check.

I have had the best life ever, following my passions. I have worked as a script editor and writer and been a course leader and senior lecturer in the UK in film and TV and before that I was an illustrator and artist.
For the last 5 years have become increasingly interested in informal learning. I run classes around Sydney in different venues and concentrate on my passion of growing succulents, art and the art of teaching. I go by the name classbunny.
