Desert Scape Terrarium Workshop Experience Adelaide

The colours of the country and cacti!

2 hours Class size 5 to 14 guests

$119 (Afterpay available)

Create your own easy-care Desert Scape cacti terrarium in our new advanced terrarium class. Learn how to create and maintain a terrarium reminiscent of the Australian outback or American cowboy country.
Join Charlene from Botanista (South Australia's only dedicated terrarium store) in this two-hour workshop where balance and patience is key.
This workshop includes all materials, including a wide-top, cylinder-style terrarium; coloured sands and gravels to create banding; soils and substrates; cacti and succulents; as well as wood/stone hardscapes and a little crystal bling.
You will learn how to build your own desert scape from the ground up. Charlene will demonstrate how to create layers in your terrariums from sand and gravel while still ensuring plants have a good planting medium base because we want our terrariums to last. Very importantly, you will learn how to handle and place cacti without ending up with a handful of spikes! Lastly, you will learn how to achieve balance between hardscapes - rocks and wood - and your plants to create an inviting desert landscape, which will be the envy of any coffee table.
Once your masterpiece is finished, choose a crystal to add that little something extra that makes your terrarium unique and beautiful.
All materials are supplied for this workshop - you will leave with your own beautiful terrarium and the knowledge of how to recreate it.

What you'll get
Their own desert scape terrarium to take home, complete with crystals.
