Madelaine Buttini (b. 1993) is a female collage artist based in Australia. She is globally acclaimed for her digital and analog artwork. Madelaine is Australia’s leading collage artist. She is the podcast host of 1800-MADBUTT. Madelaine has been captivating audiences with her unique artistic approach, blending vintage aesthetics with modern sensibilities.
In 2023, Madelaine started expanding her artistic practice. This includes utilising animation and printmaking; linographic printmaking and mono-printing. This new practice involves the use of collage in a dynamic and experimental way. She is passionate about how to improve Australia’s collage art and make it more accessible. Madelaine is studying a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Queensland, majoring in Art History.
Madelaine’s collage art aspires to bring moments of happiness and hope. It’s for those navigating our busy and overwhelming lives. Her creations reflect her personal journey, addressing the challenges she has encountered. She celebrates femininity and the beauty of the natural world through her collage art.
Madelaine’s collage art transcends borders. Since 2015, her collage artwork has been gracing exhibitions, interiors and music festivals around the world. Her festival clients include Yonder (QLD), Darkworld (QLD), FOMO (AUS), and Camp Flog Naw Carnival (USA).
