What you'll do
Looking for things to do on a Friday or Saturday night in Brisbane? Well, these clay and sip classes in Fortitude Valley are the answer!This package includes an Italian dinner at Cucina By La Dolce Vita that you can enjoy either before or during the session.You will work with stoneware clay to create a few creative pieces. You have the choice to create your own pieces. During this beginner-friendly workshop and art class, you’ll learn basic skills like hatching, sticking together and shaping forms and will sculpt using stoneware pottery clay. We will do an introduction with our artist instructing a demo at the front and receive one-on-one guidance and assistance as needed, so you can make some great pieces to take home and display with pride! All the materials for your unique pottery piece will be supplied. At the end of the class, you will return home with your own self-made masterpiece. Please note: All other food and drinks are for separate sale. I was fortunate to receive a scholarship from the Queensland Art Gallery, which gave me ample opportunity to pursue my passion and hone my skills.I'm very much inspired by the beauty and diversity of Australia. Many of my paintings focus on landscapes, surreal, animals and people. North Queensland is a particular favourite, and you'll see the influence of coral seas and mountain landscapes throughout my artwork. I have a post-impressionist style through which I try to capture the wonder of the world around us.I specialise in pastel on card, and acrylic on canvas, though I'm also experimenting with abstract and air brush.I've been fortunate enough to display my work in many art exhibitions, and have been the recipient of many prizes and awards.I offer Paint and Sip sessions along with Clay and Sip sessions, both at discounted rates for ClassBento Patrons.
