Join us for this all-new workshop from alcohol ink artist Katy J! Let your creativity bloom in this exciting Port Noarlunga workshop focused on creating an abstract, organic botanical painting using alcohol inks.
In this beginner-friendly workshop, Katy from Katy J Designs will show you how to use alcohol inks with paper to paint your own abstract botanical painting. You will create one A3 painting on Yupo paper that you can frame.
Alcohol inks not only look amazing, but they are fun to use. You will create your own version of an abstract botanical artwork similar to those by Katy J shown in the pictures above.
Important health information: alcohol inks can give off fumes that may cause issues for people with respiratory illnesses. Not suitable if you are pregnant or suffer from respiratory disease. Class maximums are kept small in this class to allow space for fans and the use of smaller amounts of materials.

Botanista is a creative space in Port Noarlunga that melds workshops, South Australia's only Terrarium Bar and a beautiful shopfront filled with plants, terrariums and a dash of magic.
Owner of Botanista, Charlene Maney, opened Botanista in 2018 with a passion for plants, making gardening fun and bringing the community together.
Charlene has been an educator for over 20 years. Her experiences include teaching and overseeing the Indonesian language department in Canberra for the Department of Defence; and overseeing teaching staff as well as teaching several courses herself at the Worker's Education Association of South Australia.
Previous to opening Botanista, Charlene had been running her award-winning online store, Fleurieu Gifts and teaching botanical workshops since 2014. Many of the workshops held at Botanista have been running continuously since the early days of Fleurieu Gifts in 2014.
