Unlock the secret of these perfect, fluffy, pillow-like steamed buns at our bao bun cooking class led by the incredibly talented, Lisa, aka Saucy Wench!
This street food favourite across China and Taiwan will have you salivating before you even start the class and that’s a promise.
In this class, you will learn to make the dough for these famous buns by kneading by hand and learning the technique to get them perfect. Whilst they are proving, we’ll work as a group to make our fillings for our two savoury buns and one sweet bun.
The menu:
  • How to make the Bao Bun dough
  • First filling is a crumbed King Oyster Mushroom with a smashed cucumber Asian salad
  • Second filling is sticky eggplant
  • Third filling is homemade vegan nutella
We will then teach you how to steam the buns and we’ll enjoy an incredible bao bun feast as a class with plenty to take home.

  • The class is 100% plant-based and served with Saucy Wench's incredible vegan sauces. Unfortunately, this class can’t be modified for gluten-free. As a vegan establishment, the use of nuts on our premises is high. Please note that our meals may contain traces of nuts.
  • Please note tickets are not refundable; however, if unable to attend, you can transfer the tickets to a friend (a re-booking fee applies).
  • Whilst very rare, if we do not meet minimum ticket sales for our classes, they will be rescheduled, or an option for a refund will be provided.
