Aperitivo Italiano Class

Toast to tradition: Italian nibbles and Spritz at our Aperitivo Cooking Class in Brisbane!

2.5 hours Class size 1 to 14 guests

$110 (Afterpay available)
In Italy, we have something of a ritual that is called APERITIVO, especially during the weekend, before lunchtime or before dinnertime, you meet your friends in a bar/café/pub and have a drink (usually Spritz or white wine) with nibbles to share. Sometimes it looks more like a proper dinner than just an aperitivo, but you know that Italians often exaggerate with food...
In this class, we will show you a few Italian nibbles named ‘salatini’ (little savoury bites). In Italy, you can buy them in pastry shops or a good bakery, or you can prepare them yourself. In this class, you’ll learn how to prepare 5 different types of salatini from scratch. Then we’ll prepare a Spritz and enjoy the aperitivo together, eating, drinking, and chatting. You can take home a few of the Salatini to share with your family, and you’ll receive the recipe book (salatini and an Aperol Spritz also).
Book this class and learn the art of the Italian Aperitivo, an important masterpiece of La Dolce Vita.

CIAO,
We are Anna and Sara, and we would like to tell you about our dream….
Our meeting seemed to us to be a special gift from the stars, a benevolent sign from those who watch over us from above.
An opportunity that made sure that two different but deeply similar souls intertwined their destinies, through the sharing of emotions, memories, and experiences.
A common thread featuring food in its deepest and most visceral essence.
A sort of emotional facilitator, which allowed each of us to tell our story, mirror each other and feel welcome and free to express our imperfect uniqueness.
Our intent is to transmit knowledge and flavours of Italian traditions through our cooking classes, our passion and our experience as chefs.
We believe that it is not essential to be a chef, to have great qualifications or 5-star experience, to be great in the kitchen.
We would like to share with you, simple, appetizing, replicable recipes that nourish the heart and palate and that convey emotions and memories.
We organize a range of Italian cooking classes in which we demonstrate and explain what to do and you then cook under our guidance and supervision.
Together, we cook and then we eat and taste what has been prepared by Anna and Sara accompanied by a glass of Italian wine or a drink that we offer you, as we would in Italy when friends and guests come to our home.
Finally, you will take home the Italian delicacies you have mastered and prepared to share with your family and loved ones and you’ll get a recipe book for the class you attended, that way you’ll be able to replicate every dish whenever you want to, without any doubt or hesitation.
You’ll work at your private bench space in a class of a maximum of 12/14 participants because we want you to be well looked after during your cooking experience.
All recipes are hands-on, you’ll be cooking with us following our traditional Italian family recipes and using high-quality ingredients, we ask you just bring your willingness to learn and your biggest smile.
Our classes are created to maximize your enjoyment and fun in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere because we think that having fun is the key to living life to the fullest.
Cooking is a matter of ability, passion, and love, if you enjoy what you do, your dish becomes something beautiful and tasty, and cooking with other people makes this even better, more enjoyable and fun.
You know what Origins means and we chose this name because we wanted to pay homage to our Italian Origin, but also to the people who gifted and passed on to us the passion for cooking, food and being in the kitchen, because nothing can be created without gratitude and love.
Sara and Anna.
