Have you ever wondered "what's all the stink about alcohol ink?" Well now's your chance to find out. Join us for this hands-on alcohol ink workshop and watch your artwork come alive on your canvas!
Unpredictable in nature, you will be mesmerised by the way the inks behave - or rather misbehave! Leave your ideas at home because this medium has a mind of its own!
This class is perfect for anyone who:
  • Is interested in learning more about alcohol inks and how to use them
  • Is interested in an art class that is more about the process than the product
  • Wants to make amazing artworks that they can display in their homes, offices or the homes of their friends and family
  • Wants to learn basic composition tricks relevant to alcohol inks
  • May have already tried to use alcohol inks but aren't getting the results they want
  • Wants to create abstract artworks that they can be proud of!
You'll learn how to:
  • Use isopropyl alcohol to blend colours
  • Use a heat gun to create wispy lines
  • Use metallic inks to get golden flakes and shimmers throughout your work
All materials are supplied but if you have some inks/surfaces at home that you wish to get some guidance on, you are more than welcome to bring them along.
Please note:
Please note that while children are welcome to attend, the medium is very odorous and parental discretion should be used in deciding if this class is right for your child. In addition, there is an additional fee for children under the age of 12 since they use significantly more materials than older people.

Knowledge required
Beginner-friendly. No skills are required.

What you'll get
  • A series of completed alcohol ink artworks and experiments.
  • The isopropyl alcohol used in this workshop omits a strong odour so masks are provided if you should wish to wear one. In addition, the inks are likely to stain your skin and clothing should they come into contact with it.
  • Tea, coffee and biscuits are supplied but feel free to bring morning tea if you would prefer something more substantial.
What to bring
  • A friend (just because it is more fun).
  • Gloves and aprons are provided however we recommend wearing comfortable clothing that you do not mind getting dirty and removing jewellery since accidents happen!
Suitable for

This class is great for a hens party.

Suitable for adults, and kids (minimum 12 years old).

An adult must accompany any attending kids, and must pay for a separate ticket.

This experience would also be a unique gift for her or gift for mum.
