On the search for fun and unique events in Adelaide? Join Sammy Mamaïssata Doncamara and Wendy Pryor in a special afternoon of African dance and paper mosaic bliss!
The afternoon will start with uplifting African dance. Vivacious teacher Sammy encourages grace, sensuality and sass, giving you a brilliant chance to let your hair down as you learn to dance a dynamic fusion of traditional West African, Egyptian and Modern African dance.
Don't worry if you're new to the world of African dance, as this session is suitable for all fitness levels and dance abilities. You can choose between the high or low-impact version of the steps. This one hour session will leave you feeling revitalised!
Then it's time to get crafty with friendly teacher Wendy and her feel good paper mosaic session. Wendy will smoothly guide you through the tactile experience of creating your own paper mosaic.
This is a simple process that invites you to be as creative as you like with your unique African inspired temple. In this fabulously fun two and a half hour session, all materials are supplied, including a picture frame for your paper mosaic masterpiece!
There will also be a beautiful stall with locally hand crafted African jewellery and accessories. The Healthy Living Collective café will also be open for drinks and snacks.

Knowledge required
This is a beginner-friendly session, no experience required.

Suitable for

This class is great for a hens party.

Suitable for adults, and kids (minimum 10 years old).

An adult must accompany any attending kids, and must pay for a separate ticket.

Founder Sammy Mamaïssata Doncamara is an award winning performing artist who regularly travels to Guinea, West Africa. She is passionate about African cultures and dance. Sammy has been dancing for over 20 years and loves sharing her joy of dance and creativity. She has worked for Global organisation EY and Mate Studio as a creative facilitator and workshops designer.
Sammy and her wonderful team invite you to have fun and try something new. Everyone is welcome and all abilities encouraged.
