Hello! I'm Sonja. I've always enjoyed some form of creativity throughout my life, but I'll be honest, I've never thought of myself as an 'artist'. I couldn't draw or paint or was any good at those traditional forms of art we thought made us an artist.I was good at other 'non traditional' art forms like calligraphy, stamping, marbling and those art forms that were known as 'craft'.I stumbled upon alcohol ink art and was just mesmerised! This beautiful art form was definitely for me, with it's fluid and abstract nature and the colours were amazing. Since starting that journey, I've added resin art and jewellery to the repertoire and sometimes combine them all together! I'm always still learning other mediums too.Long story short, you don't have to be a talented 'artist' to be able to create beautiful art (in any form), you just need to try, have fun and enjoy the process rather than worrying about the end result. I'm proof that any beginner can create art worthy of admiration.I've taught stamping classes and some resin art and wanted to offer workshops to the those of you who think you can't create. I've been where you are!! I've recently started teaching at a local community college too.Come and join one of my workshops, it'll be fun & relaxing and let's create some gorgeous art together.
