Ang Hart is a multifaceted artist, psychologist, and passionate advocate for social change, residing on a picturesque farm in the Hilltops region of NSW. She maintains a deep connection to the vibrant mining towns of Cobar in New South Wales and Kalgoorlie, Western Australia. Ang's artistic journey is characterised by a profound exploration of rhythm, disruption, and the complexities of the human experience.
AngHart holds a Master's of Creative Industries (MCI) with a focus on interdisciplinary visual arts practice. Her research “Rising from the Dust: (in)visible Women in Mining” explores the issues women face in the mining industry depicted by 12 portraits. She presented her research at the Australian Women's and Gender Studies Association (AWGSA) Conference in November 2024 at Southern Cross University on the Gold Coast.
Her passion for gestural and action painting techniques illuminates her vibrant and introspective works, offering insights into mood, emotion, and the intricate tapestry of life. In an uncertain world, Ang finds hope and meaning in every piece she creates, weaving together her personal journey, mental health struggles, and experiences as a psychologist, Mother, wife and creative. Her profound insights into the human psyche, coupled with her commitment to community and shared knowledge, resonate deeply with audiences, inspiring courage, wisdom, and hope.
With a passion for unleashing creativity, Ang Hart has successfully facilitated workshops tailored for diverse age groups, from children to seniors, infusing her unique and quirky artistic style. Leveraging her expertise as an artist and psychologist,
Ang creates engaging and transformative experiences that inspire participants to explore their creativity, express themselves, and connect with others on a deeper emotional level. Through her dynamic and inclusive workshops, Ang fosters a supportive environment where individuals can discover their artistic voice, embrace new perspectives, and embark on a journey of personal growth and self-discovery.
